From the wide spectrum of chemical characteristics, mainly pH and resistance against salt action will be studied. The specimens will be subjected to a combined action of sulfates and chlorides; in the case of marble also artificial ageing will be tested. Further material characteristics (petrological, microstructure, chemical composition) are analyzed using SEM.
